As a part of my Reiki training my first assignment is to participate in my own self-healing for the next 30 days prior to receiving my attunement from my Reiki Master. As part of this experience I am beginning to keep a journal of my experiences for each of the next 30 days of Self-Healing Sessions.
Day 1: August 20, 2013
Discovered that my left hand is my power hand through the techniques taught in today's lesson. For most people it is the dominant hand or hand that you write with, but on rare occasions it is the opposite hand. Apparently I am one of the rare exceptions.
After my first self-healing session an incredible sense of peace has washed over me. I feel the Reiki energy flowing through every cell of my body. I was amazed that not only could I feel, but could actually see the energy flowing through my hands and into my body. I have now seen my auric energy field for the first time and it was beautiful. I had no idea that would happen, but am very glad of it.
I also experienced something that I can't explain as well, a golden triangle of light emanating from the palm of my power hand (left hand). I wonder if it means something. I will have to ask Dharmadevi at some point about that.
I must say though that I do feel wonderfully energized.
